Jersey Seafood Weekender

The Seafood Weekender takes over Gorey Pier with the island's fishermen, growers and chefs cooking within sight of the boats that landed the catch that morning. Royal Bay oysters are shucked to order, scallops hit the pans by the hundred and there's lobster if you get there early enough.
Chef demonstrations run through the afternoon on the pier stage, and there are guided tastings pairing Jersey oysters with island cider and local white wine.
Mont Orgueil Castle looms above the whole thing, which does no harm at all to the photographs.
