Harbour Sessions: Island Bands

When the tide is out and the boats are resting on the sand, the harbour wall at St Aubin becomes the island's most relaxed music venue. Harbour Sessions runs every Thursday evening through the summer with a rotating bill of Jersey bands, singer-songwriters and the occasional visiting act.

It's free, it's outdoors and it's genuinely local — expect folk, soul and guitar bands rather than anything polished within an inch of its life. Food trucks and the village's pubs and restaurants keep everyone fed until the last set.

Bring a jumper: the temperature drops quickly once the sun goes behind the hill.
